The Grand Entrance Hall is open!
Visitor access was once by half height doorway, flood defence wall and scaffolding. Now the Museum has:
– Opened up a new entrance
– Installed a viewing platform at street level
– Installed a permanent stairway to a new floor suspended above the railway
– Created a show and pictures to interpret the space
Opening day in 1843, fifty thousand people visited what became known as ‘the Eighth Wonder of The World. HRH Prince Edward has opened The Wonder again, but we still need your help. We invite you to
