Sunday and Monday 10.40 and Wednesday 18:15 meet at Bermondsey tube station and be guided to the Brunel Museum and below into the Grand Entrance Hall, secret underground chamber! More details.

Half Term Workshops

Meet 10.40 (prompt) Embankment tube or 13.30pm Brunel Museum

How strong is a piece of paper? How long can you build a bridge? Where are Brunel’s Bridges in London? What is the longest bridge in the world? Why is geometry important?

The Brunel Museum offers a boat trip under three Brunel bridges, a river walk, a train journey through the Tunnel and a workshop. Structural engineering made simple! Why don’t things don’t fall down. Design and build bridges using recycled materials. Learn about the life and times of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Cost: £10 parents, free for children. Plus Thames Clipper fare (half price)

Creative Writing at the Brunel Museum

A regular series of fortnightly Creative Writing Workshops with Alison Clayburn takes place at the Museum more details 


Midnight Apothecary

Midnight Apothecary is the only place for campfire cocktails in the city – now every Friday & Saturday from May till September and once a month through the winter for Hallowe’en, Bonfire, Christmas, Wassail and Valentine’s. Wild Cocktails is now a best selling book! See you there!
