Thames Iconic

Artist’s Statement

L. Whybrow is a renowned artist whose practice engages photography, painting and mixed media.

He has exhibited widely since having a solo show at the Bermondsey Gallery in 2007.

“Having a studio in Greenwich adjacent to the Thames, one feels invigorated and stimulated by river life with its vibrant light and rich history.”

Invited to exhibit at the Brunel Museum, “Thames Iconic” became a project of passion and appreciation of an ever-changing dynamic and mood that combines city structures with shipbuilding history in a revealing light.
