Concerts, Films, Opera and Theatre

Museums are places to be entertained and inspired, and we try to make learning fun and our events unusual. The Brunels did not just build bridges and tunnels, they organised concert parties, dance events, underwater banquets, fairgrounds and shopping arcades. Brunel was not just an engineer, he was an impresario and showman.

  • Music, theatre and other performances

The museum has played host to many different events over the years. We like to think that we are continuing Brunel’s legacy as a showman and patron of the arts by hosting, concerts, films, opera, theatre, dance performances, and art installations to name a few… Here you will find the list of upcoming music and theatre events that will be held at the museum.

If you are looking for a specific event that does not appear in the list then please go to the main What’s On page, and use the calendar to check for future dates by hovering over or clicking on individual dates.

If you would like to book the museum for your own event then drop us an email with the details.

  • Adventure Films Underground

The Brunel Museum is hosting Adventure Films Underground, brought to you by Secret Adventures.

Secret Adventures bring you unusual and off grid adventures in London and beyond. These adventures are designed to generate a sense of exploration and wonder.

They like water, they like fire and they like to explore. Adventures so far have included swimming over to a secret island to wild camp around a fire, kayaking at night under Tower Bridge and Husky sledding in the arctic circle.

  • Pop-Up Opera

Pop-Up Opera creates productions with a focus on the interaction between the characters and the physicality of the piece; they don’t need a fancy set or period costumes to make opera enjoyable or relevant. The interplay between the music, the drama, and the unique style of captioning, allows the audience to connect with it and enjoy it.

We have had the pleasure of hosting Pop-Up Opera performances at the Brunel Museum for several years now and are pleased to welcome them back this year.

You can find more information about Pop-Up Opera by clicking read more – which will take you to their website and by checking out our events pages for details of this seasons productions.
