The museum as you walk up Tunnel AvenueVisiting The Museum

The East London Line is closed for refurbishment but it is easy to get to the museum using the tube and/or buses. Transport for London Journey Planner can help you with your journey.

From London Bridge station we are only two stops on the Jubilee line.

Buses 47, 188 and 381 pass close to the museum: alight at the Rotherhithe Tunnel roundabout or outside Rotherhithe station (currently closed) on the 381. It is two minutes walk up Railway Avenue to the Museum.

The Museum and cafe are on the river. The Thames Path will bring you to our door.

As of February 2008 the museum is completely wheel chair accessible. There is disabled parking our cobbled driveway and usually plenty of on street parking. This is not a CPZ

Admission charges are £2 for adults and £1 for concessions. Children under 16 are free. We are open seven days a week from 10:00 and 17:00. The museum is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's day.

The museum is marked with the red balloon on the maps below.
