I define photography as my key to the secret garden, my way down the rabbit hole, my looking glass.
We live in a world obsessed with image. Photography captures a moment in time. From the beginning the process of transforming colour into a digitalised image has struck me as magical.
And, over the years, that magical process has had its way with me, leading me from hobby to art. I love abstract art. Photography fills me with a sense of accomplishment and integrity, and has proven a most amenable vehicle for translating inner vision to outer reality.
Though I work quite deliberately, consciously and defining innovative techniques, my unconscious is the undisputed project manager.
The concrete nature of this work frees my imagination and provides many opportunities to influence the finished product.
Inspired and invigorated by a renewed sense of continuity, and awed by the mystery of how creation occurs, I am now photographing richly exploring many patterns and colours in shape and motion. By revealing the inside, through my photographs, I can potentially inspire or make a person think something new and profound. I believe it is a wonderful thing to be able to do.
