Margaret started printmaking soon after she retired, and studied it first at Sutton College, and now at Morley College.  In 2010 she won a prize in the V&A’s “Inspired by” competition, for a linocut based on medieval sculpture.  She has exhibited before at the Brunel Museum gallery. This time she is focusing on drypoints with chine collé, a technique which enables her to add colour to a simple design.  Margaret likes to take a new look at ordinary things and bring out the visual interest in the everyday.   These prints have elements of nostalgia, but also of strangeness.
