Director’s Diary: Migrants

Open House Weekend was a sunny success this year with over sixteen hundred visitors and healthy book sales. Our heritage boat trips have been very busy.

Next week we have Film with Secret Adventures and Pop Opera and choral music from Echo. Echo is an 18 voice ensemble and their piece called EXILE is a musical exploration of emotional and political exile, displacement and migration. Including pieces by William Byrd, Pedro de Cristo and Philippe de Monte. We remember Sir Marc Brunel was an exile who made an extraordinary contribution to this country: here is a short film we helped produce Made by Migrants
