Director’s Diary: Mendelssohn, Bizet and Brunel Drawings

Sunday is the last day of Open House Weekend but there is more music, art and entertainment to follow. Great Engineering Day Friday 28th London Metropolitan Archives is a chance to view the beautiful Brunel watercolours. Music and celebration: Baltic Arts present The Seasons by Peteris Vasks. The Latvian Embassy give a reception partly because Marc Brunel planned a tunnel in the Gulf of Bothnia. Chamber Players return to Thames Tunnel with Mendelssohn, who also visited and was Brunel’s rival in love. Pop up Opera present Carmen, which is really all about love and cigars.
